ROAD UTILITY DISTRICT TO HOLD ELECTIONS

Mike Page is attorney for Woodlands Road Utility District #1

March 6,2010

Woodlands Road Utility District to elect three positions to the board.

According to documents received from  law firm Schwartz, Page & Harding, L.L.P May is the month  chosen for the election of three officers to the Woodlands Road Utility District.  The district was founded in 1991 and has a fully elected board of five members.

A letter addressed to a “candidate” from Schwartz, Page & Harding paralegal Julie Kime confirms  “The Woodlands Road Utility District #1 ( the “District”) Directors Election to be held on May 8,2010″.

Details of where the election will be held are pending.  However,  The Woodlands Road Utility District has never contracted with Montgomery County Elections Central, according to County Elections Registrar Carol Gaultney , CERA .

Interest in the election could be surprising for the board as the enabling legislation for the District allows residents from anywhere in Texas to run in the election.

That the election will be conducted in full accordance with Texas law was assured by Attorney Mike Page during a recent telephone conversation.

For now all the information necessary to file for a position on the board has been made available on the internet at http://www.fellowresidents.info/ at a site made available by  the  FELLOW RESIDENTS ASSISTING UTILITY DISTRICTS.
