BRADY BIDS FOR BELTWAY BACKERS BUCKS
BRADY CAMPAIGN SEEKS BIG BUCKS FROM BELTWAY CONSTITUENTS
Adrian Heath | February 25, 2010
We enjoyed the report form the Courier Technology changing campaign process where the huge disparity in fund raising prowess of incumbent congressman Kevin Brady was pitched against the three grass roots primary contenders from Montgomery County, Scott Baker, Melecio Franco and Tyler Russell. Brady was reported to have “received $432,549 from 62 contributors as of Feb. 10″ possibly including $2000.00 from PONZI schemer Stanford. Whereas the valiant three had reported less than $5000.oo in their coffers respectively.
One of the elements of the droning Brady stump speech regularly repeated is the fact that Brady has “never moved to Washington”, a fact that is commendable and wise for a man with an obviously lovely wife and family. But if Tony Bennett as the song goes ,left his heart in San Francisco then we may be excused for wondering where Brady has left his soul.
A source deep inside the Brady juggernaut has passed to us the document reproduced below. An invitation distributed to hardline Brady connections inside the beltway in Washington DC Requests a contribution of $1000.00 in exchange for coffee and pastries with the Congressman himself. No doubt the events scheduled for February 4th, 11th & 25th were packed to standing room only with favor seeking lobbyists and tax feeding fat cats all all stripes. Who knows? One can only imagine. But One also wonders where Brady support truly lays.
[amazon-product alink="0000FF" bordercolor="000000" height="240"]1596985879[/amazon-product]Is it in the towns and cities of the eighth district back home in Texas or in the halls of pretended power in Washington DC?
Isn’t $400 thousand dollars enough to crush the puny antics of three young men who have courage and convictions more in line with voters in the heart of Texas. Apparently not.
We will probably never know the answer to this or other questions. Congressman Brady has refused to answer questions posed to him regarding the allegations from the Franco campaign that Brady staffers were improperly working on campaign business and events. I suppose we could have the answers if we really wanted them, but that would involve a plane ride to DC and $1000 cup of coffee.
